Best steak I've had in a long time!! It was a rainy day so I sat inside. Service was friendly and frequent. Kind of pricey I thought at first but once I started to eat the steak I was happy. The knife I was given for the bread was sharper than the one I received for the steak... I've been coming to this lake for 10 years and just found out about this place. I will return.
Excellent food! Great service! Such a wonderful place. Not everyone prepares seafood well, but these folks knocked it out of the park!!!!! Hope we can get to go there again.
The view is fantastic. Our server was great and very attentive as one member of our party has food allergies. The food itself was great, especially the catfish and crab cakes. Portion size was very good for what was ordered. Would definitely go back again when in the area.
Watauga lake. ..Excellent service and food. Last open Friday, October 27th, 2017....of r his season. But plan a visit as Soo as it opens spring 2018 !!
We chose The Captains Table for a destination for our leaf watching fall day trip. We stayed off the interstate, so it was a 3-1/2 hour Jeep ride from West Knoxville. It wasn't very crowded, but it was also a cool, cloudy weekday. We were seated in front of a vast expanse of windows looking out over Watauga lake. Absolutely gorgeous view! I had one of the house specialties, crab cakes. My lovely wife enjoyed a catfish filet sandwich. The food was brought out quickly, and it was delicious. Our server was very pleasant and friendly, making the experience that much better. I would heartily recommend eating here. It's a long ride, but combine with a trip to Boone, NC, and it's a memorable stop along the way.
